Player Profile: Milan Butterfield
Following the signing of Nathan Tyson and the renewal of Tom Denton’s contract John Pemberton has boosted his squad with the signing of Milan Butterfield from Kidderminster Harriers.
Pemberton knows Butterfield from his time managing Kidderminster in the National League North.
Born in Hamilton, Butterfield is a Bermuda international and has been with Kidderminster since 2018, arriving from Walsall.
The Spireites will have to pay a minimal compensation fee for his signature as the midfielder joins up with the squad ready for pre-season.
Butterfield hasn’t had it easy at Kidderminster, upon his arrival he joined up with the u23’s set up and had to prove himself there to get a place amongst the first team squad.
In January 2019 he made his first team debut and has made 49 appearance since, scoring on three occasions.
‘It became clear quite early in the summer that Milan was destined to move on to a new challenge and we wish him well in that and his future career’. Kidderminster boss Russ Penn said.
Penn noted that he was proud of the role Kidderminster have played in improving and developing Butterfield.
At only 22, Butterfield has plenty of time to improve and progress under Pemberton also standing at 6 ft 4 he has the ability to be a real powerhouse in the Town midfield.
