Jack Duly: ‘They really don’t know how deep things get’

Jack Duly combats mental health battles with recent music video.

Chesterfield born Jack Duly has always been a fan of music production and he has really shown his true colours with this recent release.

The new music video takes viewers into the mind and body of somebody battling many demons and struggling mentally.

The track is called ‘’ We’re Doomed’’ and the music video is something to watch.

The 19 year old was very open when asked why this route and admitted he battles many negative thoughts on a day to day basis: “ People see this happy hardworking journalist on the outside but on the inside they really don’t know how deep things get, there’s been times where I’ve admittedly questioned my life choices, you question why am I here? Do I really need to be here? But family and friends have been unbelievable and things are starting to turn.”

When asked what was the thought process behind the video Jack said: “ I wanted something that others can relate too, and the poem is something I personally think they can.

‘’ I’ve had a lot of messages asking for help, I’m no expert on mental health but my inbox is always open and I urge anyone who is suffering to please speak out.’’

Jack Duly’s new album is set for release on the 16th of June and he urges everyone to get behind it.

‘’ After the mental health fuelled video and start to the album I think it’ll really open people’s eyes as to what I can do’’
