The 28-year-old said: “I get on really well with the Gaffa, it’s a very exciting place to be, he has some great ideas.”
Despite battling relegation all season, the Spireites did have some good moments and Evans personal favourite was the last minute winner against Wrexham.
He said: “The Wrexham game, scoring with the last kick of the game was an incredible feeling.”
Evans mentioned his disappointment that the season has been cancelled after the blues started to come into form.
The Spireites defender went on to say: “Yes of course it’s frustrating, we was in a good place, so hopefully we can hit the ground running next season.”
National league clubs have finally had confirmation that the remaining games will not be played and now they can focus on next season.
Evans believes the club has to be aiming for promotion this time round.
He said: “I think we need to look at promotion, for this club it shouldn’t be anything less ever.
“These last two seasons I’ve been here I have been way below my standards so we need to turn it around as a group.”
Evans is looking forward to next season and the future at the club. Finally the one question everyone wants to know, who’s best at cards? He claims him, Maguire, and Denton are the best at the club.
