Hat-trick Hero Tyson Stars as Spireites Batter Ebbsfleet

John Pemberton’s men battered fellow strugglers Ebbsfleet after Super substitute Nathan Tyson came on to score three. 

John Pemberton made one change to the side that beat Wrexham 3-2, with Nathan Tyson coming out of the squad and Liam Mandeville coming in.

On six minutes the Spireites had their first chance of the game, Jordon Cropper’s long throw found the head of Tom Denton but he was unable to direct his header towards goal. 

14 minutes on the clock and David Buchanan played a teasing ball across goal but no one could latch onto the cross.

Six minutes later and the Spireites had another chance, David Buchanan lifted a ball into the box on the left hand side, meeting the head of Tom Denton, who headed straight at Gregory in the visitors goal.

It had been a scrappy first 25 minutes with both teams struggling to retain possession however, it was John Pemberton’s side that looked the closest to break the deadlock.

30 minutes played and the visitors had their first real chance of the game.

John Goddard got into the box on the byline and laid the ball across to Tomi Adeloye who had a good chance at the Spireites goal however, he tried a back heal effort that went nowhere near goal.

On 33, David Buchanan lifted another cross into the box looking for Denton, but Ebbsfleet cleared only for Jonathan Smith to receive the ball on the edge to hit a curled effort just wide of the post. ‬

Denton headed a free-kick down to Liam Mandeville on 37 but he couldn’t direct his effort towards goal.

The fourth official indicated a minimum of three minutes of added time for the first half.

In added time, Mike Fondop broke forward into the box cut in and hit a side-footed effort at goal that was saved by the feet of Gregory in the Ebbsfleet goal. 

John Pemberton’s men had another chance a minute later with Tom Denton rising above his defender to get on the end of David Buchanan’s cross however despite his efforts, he just headed wide.

Half time finished - Spireites 0 - 0 Ebbsfleet. 

On 57 minutes, John Pemberton made his first change of the game with Nathan Tyson replacing Mike Fondop.

61 minutes played and the Spireites took the lead, substitute - Nathan Tyson smashed the ball into the top left corner on the half-turn after receiving the ball from a Tom Denton header - making it 1-0 to the Spireites.

On 70 minutes Robbie Weir replaced Liam Mandeville. 

On 77 minutes, Nathan Tyson doubled the Spireites lead and his goals, he headed in at he near post from David Buchanan’s corner.

Shortly after on 83, Nathan Tyson got his third goal of the game and making it 3-0 as he turned his man on the half way line, beat him for pace and finished with precision and composure at the near post. 

86 minutes played and John Pemberton made his final substitution with Scott Boden replacing Tom Denton.

‪In the 90th minute Smith got into box on the right hand side passed it across to Boden who unselfishly dummied it back to Weston who smashed the ball into the net. 

The fourth official indicated a minimum of four minutes added time for the second half. 

Full time finished - Chesterfield 4 - 0 Ebbsfleet 0, goals from Nathan Tyson (3) and Curtis Weston.
