CUSACK’S POST GROUND THOUGHTS

Wrexham FC

The Racecourse

The ground claims to be the oldest international football stadium in th  e world. It has a capacity of 10.500.

The main stand, or bkoncepts stand, is a covered all seater with 4200 seats. There is a supporters club for pre and post match refreshments and TVs to watch other sport. Away supporters are housed in the Mold End. The centre and other end are reserved for home supporters.

The Kop is all standing with a capacity of 5000 and is to the left of the main stand. The University stand is opposite the Kop and is a covered all seater of 2800 capacity. This stand is occasionally used for away support if very large numbers are expected. The final stand is opposite the main stand. The Hays Travel Stand is a covered all seater stand with disabled facilities and the remaining 3500 seats. A modern facility built in 1999.
A compact ground of good size showing its former league status. The pitch is looking green and not showing too much wear.

Not in the Press facilities today so cant comment other than it looks relatively small for size of ground

Good range of food available at what are pretty much standard prices. Programme good and standard £3.

Overall: 7/10
