In the 15th minute the Visitors could have took the lead, due to poor communication from Shwan Jalal and Haydn Hollis and pressure from Brackley forward Sterling James, the ball fell to James Armson who drilled a shot across goal however, luckily for the Spireites; Shwan Jalal got his hand to the shot to put it out for a corner.
24 minutes in and Brackley were still threatening the Spireites defence and they had another good chance; James Armson held the ball up in the box laid it back to Shane Byrne who hit a side-footed shot over the bar.

The half resumed and in the 51st minute the Visitors took the lead, James Armson curled in a cross from a corner and Jalal failed to collect the ball and it fell to Lee Ndlovu who smashed the ball in from 1 yard, to give the Visitors their deserved lead.
2 minutes later the Hosts should have got level, Jerome Binnom-Williams whipped in a corner to the back post, the cross fell to Joe Rowley who hit the shot on the half valley, however, despite his efforts he miss hit the volley and the shot went way wide of the post, for a goal kick.
In the 50th minute John Sheridan made a much needed change, with Tom Denton replacing Kyle Reid and Lee Shaw replacing Alfie Beestin.

75 minutes in and Brackley doubled their lead, Adam Walker was given miles of space and time on the edge of the box and hit a shot which hit the post, and then fell to Lee Ndlovu who tapped it in again from 1 yard to get his second goal of the game, and to make it 2-0 to Brackley - surely finishing of the match and the Spireites' hopes of progressing to the next round.
A few minutes later in the 79th minute, Louis Dodds dribbled through into the box, then hit a shot straight at Danny Lewis in the Brackley net.
