2 minutes in and the Spireites should have took the lead, Binnom-Williams received the ball from a throw in, crossed it in to Lee Shaw who's header glanced wide.

The Spireites were putting lots of pressure on the Barrow defence and yet another chance went missing, Marc Antoine Fortune put Lee Shaw through on goal, Shaw pulled it back to Smith who hit the shot first time, however, thanks to a last-ige tackle from the Barrow defender, his effort went wide of the post in the 6th minute.

15 minutes in and the Spireites were still on top, Curtis Weston hit a low shot from the edge of the box however, Dixon in the Barrow net, met the shot well.

The Spireites should have been three up inside 16 minutes, the next wasted chance was from Marc Antoine Fortune, he was slipped through on goal he got in the box and got too close to the keeper, so it was easy for Barrow goalkeeper Joel Dixon to smother the ball - to keep the scores level.

The blue birds had their first real shot of the game on 23 minutes, Jacob Blyth turned Curtis Weston on the edge of the box and hit a shot straight at Shwan Jalal in the Spireites net.

In the 37th minute Tom Denton replaced Marc Antoine Fortune, which was nothing more than a tactical change.

Half time finished 0-0 with the Spireites having the better chances between two teams.

Straight after the break Bradley Barry came off injured, he was replaced by Joe Rowley.

Barrow came out the half time break a better side than they were in the first, controlling possession and slowing the game down, leaving a few rough tackles on Lee Shaw.

59 minutes in and John Sheridan's side really should've took the lead, Lee Shaw chipped the ball into the box, Will Evans beat Dixon in the Barrow net to the ball, then had his header cleared off the line, then Denton had a go with his head, his effort was blocked, then Will Evans tried again, his header was cleared off the line an then cleared to sniff out the danger.

A few minutes later Lee Shaw chipped another ball into the box - this time Denton met the cross with his head however, his effort went wide of the post.

65 minutes in and Jacob Blyth found himself free in the box - through a scramble, he turned and then was tackled by Weston to clear the ball away.

The Attendance was declared as 4626 including 279 Barrow Fans.

In the 74th minute Alex Kiwomya was replaced by Kyel Reid.

Barrow had a good chance to take the lead on 77 minutes when Substitute Jack Hindle burst down the left hand side and hit a shot that was deflected, and it almost beat Jalal at his near post.

The Visitors were starting look very dangerous going forward now, Dan Jones just headed wide of Jalal's near post,(after receiving the ball back post from a corner).

Curtis Weston almost gave the Spireites the lead on 79 minutes, Lee Shaw hit the Barrow defence on the counter gave Curtis Weston the ball, (on the edge of the box)  Weston hit the shot and it was deflected by Josh Kay, and it ended up almost beating Dixon in the Barrow goal, however, it just went over bar.

82 minutes in and Lee Molyneux took out Lee Shaw (again) and was rightly send off for a second yellow card.

The Fourth Official indicated a minimum of 5 additional minutes.

Full time finished 0-0 with both sides having plenty of chances to win the game.
