Cusack’s Early Ground Review
Solihull Moors FC - Damson Park
Damson Park is known as the Automated Technology Group Stadium for sponsorship purposes. Ground capacity 3050.
Solihull Moors FC was founded in 2007 by the amalgamation of two older clubs - Solihull Borough, who had moved to Damson Park and Moor Green.
The ground has small covered areas on all sides. Tiered standing is behind both goals. The main stand houses the Press and disabled facilities as well as a Pie and Chips shop. The Club House contains 3 bars. The Press area is for fairly limited numbers but basic amenities are there. The reception staff, stewards etc were most helpful and friendly. Opposite the Main stand is a somewhat temporary canvas covered seating area for away fans and an enclosed bar area.
There are plans for redevelopment on all sides of the ground.
A good range of foods is available but the burger price on our visit was on the high side compared to other grounds visited - usually about £3.
Burger £4.50
Tea £1.205
Coffee £ 1.30
Overall mark 3/10
