Spireites Comfortable In Win Over Basford
The Spireites faced Northern Premier side Basford United in the FA Trophy.
After the Spireites upset win over high flyers Salford City, Martin Allen ,made two changes with, Alfie Beestin and Jordan Halllam coming into the starting 11.

2 minutes into the game and the Spireites almost took an similar early lead to last weeks win against Salford. Alex Kiwomya received the ball in the box from Jordan Hallam, Kiwomya turned his defender and hit a shot at Kieron Preston in the Basford Net, however, his shot was pushed wide.
11 minutes in and the Spireites took the lead through Alex Kiwomya, he touched down the ball and nessled a shot into the top corner, to give the Spireites the lead.
24 minutes in and the Hosts could have doubled their lead, Jordan Hallam was brought down on the edge of the box, he took the free kick and his curling effort hit the post to keep Basford in the game.
33 minutes in and the Spireites doubled their lead - Tom Denton headed in the rebound from Hollis' header hitting the post.
The Hosts could of got a third when, Haydn Hollis leaped above the Basford defenders and hit a bullet header (which looked to be going into the top corner) onto the crossbar from Hallam's corner.
The Fourth Official indicated a minimum of two minutes added time.
The second half finished 2-0 to the Spireites
The half resumed and the Visitors had their first real chance of the game - Nathan Watson beat Brad Barry and a shot at goal however, his shot met the hands of Burton in then Spireite goal.
The Spireites were continuing to dominate Basford and they got another goal on 53 minutes - Jonathan Smith hit a pile driver from 30 yard out in the bottom left corner to give the Spireites their third goal of the game.
54 minutes in and Jonathan Smith made way for Joe Rowley.
57 minutes and Lee Shaw got his first Spireites goal - Alfie Beestin put him through and he smashed the shot forcing the keeper to push it into the net - to make it 4-0 to the Hosts.
The Spireites got there 5th goal of the game from a low driven cross to Tom Denton from Ify Ofoegbu - Tom Denton got on the end of the cross making it an easy tap in to get his 2nd goal of the game.
Tom Denton then made way for Jamie Sharman in the 64th minute.
The official attendance was 1226 and 259 away fans.
It was coming to the latter stages of the game and Basford United had finally woken up they had a free kick effort on the edge of the box, which went wide. Straight after, on 73 minutes, 'super sub' Zac Goodson gave his fans something to cheer about - he found himself through on goal and he lacked no confidence in his shot - which put into the top corner of Callum Burton's near post, to make it 5-1 to the Spireites.
The rest of the half saw no real chances created.

Full Time conclusion:
The Spireites shown the quality difference between the two sides and put up a very professional performance to send the Notts side home unhappy.
