The Hosts started the better of the two sides, with a few decent efforts from outside the box from Laurence Maguire and Haydn Hollis, which were blocked by the Havant defenders.

15 minutes in and the Visitors could of gone in front, Alfie Rutherford picked the ball up from Maguire's headed clearance, and hit a superb volley that looked to beat Burton in the Spireites net however, Maguire got down to block the shot.

Later on in the half the Spireites had their first real chance of the game, as Lee Shaw burst through midfield and hit a left footed shot, unfortunately for him, his effort went straight into the Havant keeper's hands.

Martin Allen's side was starting to get a grip of the game, as they continued toc challenge the Visitors net, former Bradford City winger Kyel Reid hit a superb pile driver on the edge of the box, his efforts went wide of the post.

The Fourth Official added a minimum of two minutes of added time.

Half Time Conclusion
The Spireites created plenty of chances however, they lacked the killer instinct to finish them, Havant look strong on the counter but, not much on show by the visitors.

The half resumed and the visitors was pushing the Spireites back and they almost took the lead through Bradley Tarbuck he hit a curling effort from the edge of the box, luckily for the Spireites Tarbuck's effort went over the bar.

Straight after, Curtis Weston looked destined to open the scoring, as he found himself with open space from three yards because of a good pass across from Lee Shaw, however Dudzinski in the Havant net made a great fingertip to push the shot out for a corner.

54 minutes in and Martin Allen made two changes - Tom Denton on for Kyel Reid and Hanani Amantchi on for Marc Antoine Fortune.

Attendance 4082 and 79 away.

The Spireites were starting to get back into the game and sub Hanani Amantchi came on with a point to prove, with three of his efforts just going wide or getting blocked by the Havant defenders.

Hanani Amantchi continued to threat the visitors, this time he turned two Havant and hit a really nice placed side-footed shot however, Dan Strugnell was just about able to block Amantchi's efforts.

The Hosts almost took the lead again through Amantchi, Will Evans whipped a ball in, Amantchi rose above his man, despite his efforts, Amantchi's header just went over the bar.

Martin Allen's side were really piling the pressure on the Hawks with ten minutes to go, Joe Rowley chipped a ball into the box, Dento met it and almost caught the keeper off his line.

In the 90th minute the Spireites should have really taken the lead, a great cross found the head of Denton - who's header looked to go have beat the keeper was saved by the fingertips of  Dudzinski in the Havant net.

Martin Allen must have been watching in despair as his side hit the post with Lee Shaw's pile driver effort and then the heroics of Havant keeper Dudzinski to save Evans and Dentons rebound efforts to keep the scores level.
