17 minutes in and The U’s were starting  to get a grip of the game now, as Kenny Davis played a slick through ball pass into Kieron Cadogan, despite his efforts, the pass met the hands of Callum Burton.
Minutes later Sutton could have taken the lead, James Collins got on the end of Aswad Thomas’ ball, luckily for Martin Allen’s men his half volley went straight at Callum Burton in the Spireites goal.

Sutton United’s confidence was flying through the roof now because, shortly after the goal, Sutton United’s opening scorer Jonah Ayunga, curled a shot from the edge of the box however, Callum Burton met the shot well with a very good catch.
Half time conclusion 1-0 to Sutton
Sutton United very good on the counter attack, very fast and sharp in their attack’s which has caused problems for the Chesterfield defence. Chesterfield look threatening when they put the ball in the Sutton United box, however Jonah Ayunga’s goal separates the two sides.
Half time substitution for the Spireites: Levi Amantchi on, Thomas Denton off.
52nd minute substitution for the Visitors, Jerome Binnom-Williams off, Zavon Hines on.
53 minutes in and just after the break, Kieron Cadogan For Sutton curled a shot from the edge of the box, luckily for the Spireites his effort hit the crossbar and eventually the ball was in the hands of Chesterfield goalkeeper Callum Burton.

Chesterfield had their first real chance of the second half on 76 minutes, with Jonathan Smith fizzing a ball across the box however, no one was their to meet the cross and the Sutton defender nearly headed the ball in his own goal.
Chesterfield we’re running out of time to get level, and they had another potential chance to do that, Zavon Hines had a free kick on the edge of the box but his shot, went miles over the bar.
The Spireites got level on 90 minutes once again, with the same hero as last Saturday’s equaliser, Zavon Hines rolled the ball across to Jonathan Smith who hit a pile driver shot into the bottom corner, to put the two sides level.
The game finished 1–1 after a scrappy 4 minutes of added time.
Full time conclusion 1-1
Sutton controlled most of the game but the Spireites fitness prevailed and a piece of late magic from Jonathan Smith levelled up the scores and secured the Spireites a point back home to Derbyshire.
